The Final Stretch of book one!
All I have to say is Thank you! It’s been such a long road over the years changing, refining and perfecting this story, at times I thought I may have given up and to be honest… there were times. I’d like to think as a creator, your stories and imagination never stop; even if you don’t express them. I made last minute changes to Surwich’s costume design and I had to go back the alter fully finished colored pages, which pushed back my finish time line.

The Reality of the Solo Creator.
Setbacks happen—life has a way of sliding into the gaps of unfinished work when you aren't looking. I’m sure many of you deal with the same "stop-and-start" rhythm in your own projects.
What a lot of people might not realize is what it actually takes to build a full graphic novel from the ground up when you’re doing everything yourself. It’s a dual discipline:
The Visual: Designing the world, the tech, and the magic.
The Literary: Pacing the story and finding the right words.
When it’s just one person behind the curtain, a "life moment" doesn't just slow down one department—it pauses the entire studio.
The "Full Circle" Moment: Lettering.

The lettering process (placing the dialogue into the panels) This is honestly one of the most exciting phases of production and the sense of pride has come over me is in Indescribable.
Up until now, all my pages and art have been a series of silent moments. But once the dialogue goes in, the book transforms into a complete work of storytelling. It’s the bridge where the Sci-Fi/Fantasy world of XQ28 finally starts talking back to to the world. It’s no longer just a collection of illustrations; it’s a living story ready to launch online.

Additional pages called Chronicles have been created with behind the scenes extras such as character development, lore descriptions and world building Glossary highlighting the terminology of the realms of XQ28 that will continue at the end of each book or added as a insert as pages are released.
